The safety, protection and the well-being of our young players is always our top priority. We have a responsibility to recruit the most qualified adults to serve as coaches to ensure our players are able to enjoy a fun and educational experience. All of our coaches are background screened and trained and we encourage parents to stay at the complex while your players is at the field.

Yes! We have set up our sports schedules at different times so that players can register for all 3 sports if they desire.

We welcome anyone who would like to play, however you must register to be placed on a team and receive a uniform. Come check us out!

Each player is assigned a volunteer to assist them at each game/training session. This volunteer “Buddy” is asked to protect the player, assist the player, and to offer friendship on and off the field. Siblings, parents and family friends often serve as “Buddies,” but we always have a supply of friendly volunteers who are eager to get in the game!

No. Baseball players will be given a team jersey and cap to be worn to games. Players are welcome to bring their own gloves, bats ,etc., but the league provides equipment for team use.The Miracle League provides a soccer ball for each player during soccer training. All registered soccer players receive a t-shirt the first night. to wear to training. For both sports, tennis shoes are suggested-no cleats!

No. The Grand Strand Miracle Leagues serve residents in Horry and Georgetown Counties and surrounding counties.

Players and coaches from Coastal Carolina University and other area soccer teams provide instruction on basic soccer skills and work one-on-one with our players. For one hour, players move through various skill stations and the evening usually ends with a scrimmage or a friendly game of kickball. Training sessions are held on the Miracle League field and some players move onto the grassy area that borders our facility depending on their mobility.

Each game lasts about an hour. Every player on each team comes up to bat, and then the teams switch sides. Coaches and buddies assist all the players with hitting and fielding. Both teams go through their line-up twice before the game ends in a tie! The players and buddies line up to shake hands and then head off to the patio for a hotdog!

A Miracle League field is an ADA approved, all-access baseball field featuring a flat, synthetic turf that ensures children with Special Needs can safely play ball. The bases are painted on the turf and dugouts are on level ground providing a barrier-free surface. The James C. Benton Miracle League Field in Myrtle Beach was built in 2001, making it the second of its kind in the nation!

Baseball games and Soccer training are held at the James C. Benton Miracle League Field in Myrtle Beach. For soccer training, some players move to the grassy area that borders our facility depending on their mobility. Schedules for each activity are posted on this website. Playtime at ALL STAR PARK can be scheduled by contacting the Program Director.

Everyone 5 years and older are welcome and generous community support allows the Grand Strand Miracle Leagues to offer its programs free of charge!

YES! Our players range in age from 3 to 53 and vary in levels of ability and experience. During all Miracle League activities, players are paired with a buddy to assist them in play or just to offer encouragement.
The Grand Strand Miracle Leagues is a non-profit organization that provides individuals with Special Needs the opportunity to participate in sports and recreational activities in a community-supported, safe, adapted and encouraging environment. We currently offer a baseball league, soccer training program and an all-access playground.

It is the generous support of our community that allows us to offer programs free of charge. Please help us continue in our efforts to offer the best we can to all of our players with special needs.
