Can you imagine life without the fun of playing sports?
Neither can we!

Miracle League began with a simple thought: that parents of kids with disabilities should have the same opportunities to create treasured memories with their children as parents of typical kids. We all imagine a long, exciting list of things we’ll do as we raise our kids, and many parents’ dreams for their children are built around activities like dancing, music recitals, team sports, and first trophies. When we learn that our child has a disability, those dreams don’t have to be surrendered.

Kids who are disabled are kids first. They happen to have a disability, but when our players are first treated and respected as children, fantastic things happen for them, their families, and our Buddy volunteers.

Our mission is to offer individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in sports and recreational activities in a community-supported, safe, adapted, and encouraging environment. We play at the James C. Benton Miracle League Field located at 690 33rd Ave. N. in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Founded in Myrtle Beach in 2001, The Miracle League became the second all-access baseball league in the nation. Fueled by generous community support and a passionate Board, an ADA-approved, adapted baseball field was constructed. The rubberized surface of the field is perfect for wheelchairs and walkers, making it the ideal place to start a league with the following rules:

Everyone Plays.
Everyone Crosses Home Plate.
Everyone Wins!

Eight baseball teams have grown out of this concept, two of which have advanced to competition in Special Olympics!

In 2011, the league expanded to include soccer. Founded on the same principles of inclusive play, kids of all ages are learning soccer skills and getting fit both on the Miracle League field and on the grass fields that border our facility.

2013 brought the addition of All-Star Park, an all-access playground designed to optimize fitness, foster interaction between children of all ages and abilities, and provide a whole lot of FUN!

In 2015, we added the sport of Golf! It is a game for everyone and can be played throughout your life. We have some fun sessions for Miracle League Golf coached by Mike Stonefield and the Coastal Carolina Men’s & Women’s Golf teams. Fall golf season will include golf swing practices at PGA Tour Superstore’s state-of-the-art performance practice center, sessions at Cane Patch Driving Range, Captain Hook’s Adventure Golf, and the Miracle League field.

Ages 4 and up are welcome to come out and play with the Grand Strand Miracle Leagues!

It is the generous support of our community that allows us to offer programs free of charge. Please help us to continue to offer our programs at no cost to our players.
