A Field for Everyone: Our Commitment to Accessibility

Welcome to Grand Strand Miracle Leagues, where our purpose is to ensure that every person, regardless of ability, can experience the joy of sports. Our field is designed with state-of-the-art accessibility features to provide everyone with a safe, inclusive, and fun environment. From our smooth, barrier-free surfaces to sensory-friendly kits, we have thoughtfully integrated various elements to meet our players’ needs.

As we strive to create a space where everyone can join in the game and create lasting memories, we invite you to explore the accessible features at our field. We are committed to continually enhancing our accessibility initiatives, and we welcome your input. If you have any requests or additional needs, please contact Stephanie Warren at Stephanie@GSMiracleLeagues.com or call 843-251-3926.

The field, including the dugouts, is completely flat and constructed from rubberized material. This makes it ideal for wheelchairs and walkers and provides a softer surface to play on. Each team’s dugout has a covered area and bench.

The All-Star Park playground is an all-inclusive playground designed by the experts at Landscape Structures to exceed ADA standards and to emphasize inclusive play. People of all ages can enjoy the sway fun, swings, slides, and roller table or take turns at one of the sensory panels. Best of all, thanks to double-wide ramps that connect all the events, people of all ages and abilities can play together. The playground is fully fenced in, and the rubberized surface provides safe access to all equipment.
We are a KultureCity venue with sensory kits for players to borrow at the concession stand. Kits include noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, and a communication card.

You can also log on to the KultureCity App to see a social story. Download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Handheld communication board with a lanyard
Players have access to communication boards in both dugouts. The boards feature the field diagram, baseball terminology, and general communication icons. There is also a communication board in the All-Star Park playground. All the boards are in English and Spanish.

There are also handheld communication lanyards available at the concession stand. These are available in English and Spanish, and there is also a high-contrast lanyard to support individuals with low vision.

In addition to the baby changing table, we have an adult changing table that supports up to 330 pounds. When transferring, the side rail retracts down and can serve individuals up to 6 feet tall. This is located in the office. Please see Stephanie, Isabel, or Paula at the concession stand for assistance accessing the space.
To the left of the concession stand, there is a bottle-filling water fountain where players can fill up their reusable water bottles.

Cold bottled water is available from our concessions stand and in coolers in each dugout. Bottled water is free for everyone.
