Miracle League Soccer was born from a desire to offer new sports opportunities to Special Needs kids in our community.
Formed with the help of the Horry County Recreation Department and Coastal Carolina University Soccer, the first soccer clinic was held in the Fall of 2011. The first night, we had more than 50 players show up ready to learn!
Since then, we have held 6-week soccer training sessions in the Spring and Fall; as well as a 3-day camp with the semi-professional Myrtle Beach Mutiny Soccer Team.
At each training session, players and coaches from Coastal Carolina University Soccer provide instruction on basic soccer skills, working one-on-one with Miracle League Soccer players. For one hour, players move through various skill stations. The evening usually ends with a scrimmage or a friendly game of kickball. Emphasis is on fun, fitness and friendship.
Training sessions are held on the James C. Benton Miracle League field.
It is the generous support of our community that allows us to offer programs free of charge. Please help us continue in our efforts to offer the best we can to all of our players with special needs.
